I used to build neural networks in Silicon Valley and Singapore - training systems to recognize complex patterns, calculate risk, and calibrate probabilities. By every external metric, I was operating at peak analytical competence. I could calibrate models with technical precision. I still could not calibrate a single critical decision in my own life.

Not in relationships. Not in career pivots. Not in breaking my own recurring loops. I had all the data in the world, and still not enough trust in the next move. I saw the same gap in founders, engineers, and operators who could optimize everything except the decision sitting closest to them.

That’s when I realized: you do not have an information problem. You have an interpretation problem. Before computers, ancient cultures built pattern-recognition systems - astrology, the I Ching, old metaphysics. They were not fortune-telling. They were old-school machine learning. I built The Modern Shrine as that updated interface — a clean analytical space for minds tired of being trapped in their own heads. No predictions. No crystal ball. A navigation system, not an identity prison.
